This large square-shaped planter is made of fiberclay, a combination of fibers and ceramics. The surface texture is slightly porous and has unevenly distributed delicate indentations. The product is relatively lightweight, making it convenient to move around, yet stable enough to use in public spaces. It does not come with a drainage hole, but the fiberclay material is strong enough for you to drill one yourself – there are pre-made indentations at the bottom. You decide if you want the planter to have a hole or not. This model is a seasonal outdoor planter – meaning it is not frost proof and it is advised to protect it during winter by covering it or taking it away from direct exposure to weather conditions. Products are handmade and actual measurements may slightly differ from declared (+/- 5%) Each item comes with instructions on how to plant. To prolong the life of the planter, it is recommended to apply additional protection with a liquid film-type product inside. Since items from the Ecolite collection are made of natural material (fiberclay), planters absorb moisture. This means that during use, localized spots of moisture may appear on the surface which will eventually dry and leave no trace. This is a natural process with this type of material and does not affect the functionality of the planter.
