This is a tall, cigar-shaped flower pot made of an ecological material, fiberclay, which is a combination of fibres and ceramics. The surface of the pot is slightly porous and has unevenly distributed small holes. The product is relatively light, making it convenient to move around, while still being stable enough for public spaces. This model does not have a drainage hole, but the fibre-ceramic material is sufficiently hard to enable you to drill a hole yourself – pre-drilled depressions have already been prepared in the bottom. So you can decide yourself whether to have the pot with or without a hole. As this is a seasonal outdoor pot, it does not have frost protection and it is advised to ensure its protection against weather conditions during winter (e.g. by covering it or keeping it in a sheltered area). For production reasons, round-based models have visible fibre joining elements. For more information, please check the technical data page. The products are handmade so the actual dimensions may vary slightly from the declared ones (+/- 5%). Each item includes a plant planting instruction. To extend the life of the pot, it is recommended to additionally protect the interior with a liquid film preparation. As the items from the Ecolite collection are made from natural material (ceramic fibres) – they absorb moisture. Therefore, during use, localized wet spots may appear on the surface which will eventually dry off and leave no trace. This is a natural process with this kind of material and it does not affect the functionality of the pot.
